State of Kansas will match Learning Quest® contributions

The State of Kansas wants to help provide a college education for its children. A matching grant program administered by Kansas State Treasurer Ron Estes, is now available.

  • Kansas families meeting certain income limits are eligible.
  • To apply for the program, your K.I.D.S. Matching Grant Application and match eligible contributions must be postmarked by December 31 each year.
  • Matching funds will be invested in the Learning Quest 529 Savings Program each January based on eligible contributions during the previous year up to $600.
How to determine if you qualify:

Depending on family size, the household Federal Adjusted Gross Income must be less than amount shown. Your 2015 federal adjusted gross income must be less than the amount shown.

2 = $32,040
3 = $40,320
4 = $48,600
5 = $56,880
6 = $65,160
7 = $73,460
8 = $81,780
For each additional person, add $8,320.
